Using the search window above the calendar on the right, type any additional search information, such as a specific training provider or a state. If you’re searching by state, we recommend that you search using the full name of the state (example: “Pennsylvania”). Searches using abbreviations may result in extraneous listings ( “PA” may pull listings containing “EPA” or “partner," for example).

Lead Inspector Initial – WA State and EPA Region 10 Certified

 

This 3-day (24 hr.) course presents the EPA model curriculum covering the lead-based paint (LBP) inspection protocols described in the HUD Guidelines and EPA regulations for both single-family and multi-family housing together with current research findings and practical advice from experienced inspectors.  Participants will develop an understanding of the advantages and limitations of a variety of lead inspection techniques, along with methods of implementation.  The course also covers lead detection in paint, dust and soil; personal protection; pre-inspection planning; preparing samples for laboratory analysis; and use of X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers.
